# Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”) and RiaStyle Platform Ltd (“RiaStyle”, “we”, “us”, “our”) governing your access to and use of the RiaStyle website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
## 1. Definitions & Interpretation
• Client: A user who books hairdressing services through the Platform
• Partner: An independent freelance hairdresser offering services through the Platform
• Booking: A confirmed appointment made via the Platform
• Service: The marketplace and technology services provided by RiaStyle
• Content: Any text, images, reviews, messages, or materials submitted by Users
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
## 2. Nature of the Platform (Marketplace Disclaimer)
RiaStyle operates solely as a technology platform and online marketplace.
• RiaStyle does not provide hairdressing or beauty services
• RiaStyle does not employ, manage, supervise, or control Partners
• RiaStyle does not guarantee service quality, outcomes, or suitability
All services are provided exclusively by Partners acting as independent professionals.
Any contract for services is formed directly between the Client and the Partner, and RiaStyle is not a party to that contract.
## 3. Eligibility & Account Registration
To use the Platform, you must:
• Be at least 18 years old
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
RiaStyle reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
## 4. Partner Terms (Hairdressers)
## 4.1 Independent Contractor Status
Partners acknowledge and agree that they operate as independent contractors.
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship, partnership, agency, or joint venture between Partners and RiaStyle.
Partners are not entitled to employee benefits, including holiday pay, sick pay, or pensions.
## 4.2 Qualifications, Licensing & Insurance
Partners are solely responsible for ensuring that they:
• Hold all required professional qualifications, certifications, and licenses
• Maintain appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance
• Comply with all applicable UK laws, regulations, and industry standards
RiaStyle does not independently verify professional competence and relies on Partner representations.
## 4.3 Health, Safety & Service Responsibility
Partners are solely responsible for:
• Hygiene, safety, and professional conduct
• Assessing client suitability prior to performing services
• Refusing services where health or safety risks are identified
Partners bear full responsibility for any injury, damage, allergic reaction, dissatisfaction, or adverse outcome arising from their services.
## 4.4 Availability, Cancellations & Reliability
Partners must keep availability accurate and honour confirmed Bookings.
RiaStyle may take action in cases of:
• Late cancellations
• Repeated no-shows
• Unprofessional or unsafe behaviour
Actions may include reduced platform visibility, financial penalties, suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform.
## 4.5 Payments, Fees & Taxes
Partners authorise RiaStyle to:
• Collect payments from Clients on their behalf
• Deduct applicable platform or service fees
• Process payouts via third-party payment providers (e.g. Stripe Connect)
Partners are solely responsible for:
• Income tax, VAT, National Insurance contributions
• Any reporting or regulatory obligations
RiaStyle does not provide tax advice.
## 5. Client Terms
## 5.1 Booking & Location Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
• Provide accurate booking, contact, and location details
• Ensure a safe, accessible, and suitable environment for services
• Be present and available at the agreed Booking time
Failure to meet these obligations may result in partial or full charges.
## 5.2 Service Expectations & Outcomes
Clients acknowledge that:
• Hairdressing services involve subjective outcomes
• Results may vary depending on hair condition, history, and preferences
• RiaStyle does not guarantee satisfaction or specific results.
## 5.3 Cancellations, Refunds & No-Shows
Cancellation and refund policies:
• Are set by individual Partners
• Are displayed at the time of Booking
Late cancellations or no-shows may result in:
• Partial or full charges
• Account restrictions or suspension.
## 6. Payments & Transactions
All payments must be processed through the Platform.
RiaStyle:
• Uses third-party payment processors
• Does not store full payment card details
• Is not responsible for disputes related to service quality
Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in account limitations.
## 7. Reviews, Ratings & User Content
Users may submit reviews and ratings following completed services.
You agree that:
• Content must be truthful, lawful, and non-defamatory
• RiaStyle may remove, edit, or moderate content at its discretion
By submitting Content, you grant RiaStyle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it for Platform operations, marketing, and improvement.
## 8. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
• Bypass the Platform to avoid fees
• Solicit or accept off-platform payments
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate
• Upload false, misleading, or unlawful content
Violations may result in immediate termination.
## 9. Intellectual Property
All Platform software, branding, trademarks, and content are owned by or licensed to RiaStyle Platform Ltd.
No rights are granted except as expressly stated.
## 10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”
RiaStyle disclaims all warranties, including:
• Continuous availability of the Platform
• Accuracy of listings or Content
• Quality, safety, or legality of Partner services
## 11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RiaStyle Platform Ltd shall not be liable for:
• Personal injury or property damage caused by Partners
• Dissatisfaction with services
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
RiaStyle’s total liability shall not exceed the fees paid to RiaStyle in the preceding 12 months.
## 12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RiaStyle Platform Ltd from any claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from:
• Your use of the Platform
• Your breach of these Terms
• Your interactions with other Users
## 13. Suspension & Termination
RiaStyle may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time if these Terms are violated.
## 14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
